So you've heard me talk about the gambler 500.... well preparations are in full swing. For those of you that don't know what the gambler is, here is the long and short of it. It's a 500 mile off-road "navigational challenge" in a vehicle worth less than $500. It's a 2-day challenge, driving 250 miles each day, and camping overnight. Each day you are given gps coordinates that you must reach in your very incapable vehicle, take a selfie, and proceed. It's not considered a race, and in order to "win" you must have evidence of helping another gambler along the way. With the primary rule being "don't be a dick." Which is basically my life motto, however I prefer "tool", "jack-wang", "dingleberry", or "buttmunch"....but it all translates the same.
I now present to you, Patty the Plymouth--our $300 pirate themed gambling car. We purchased the car from one of Chris's co-workers, with the stipulation that we keep her name. So Patty it is. One of the things that makes Patty so special, is that she doesn't have a reverse gear.... making this navigational challenge extra challenging. We will be taking the Jeep as a recovery vehicle, so Chris and friends wont have to Flinstone it out of sticky situations. We depart next Saturday, and will have plenty of footage of this epic event, so stay tuned. ABG (Always Be Gambling)
The crows nest! I love it!
